It is a well-known fact that a large number of population in Bangladesh are deprived of amenities of modern life due to inadequate supply of power and energy. The installed capacity of the power plants are not adequate enough to meet up the total demand of electricity. As such, the whole country including the capital city suffers from frequent load shedding. The energy sector is in a deplorable condition.

Bangladesh Energy and Power Company Ltd. (BEPCO), an unit of Bangladesh Development Group, is progressing with the vision of welfare for the under privileged people in the field of community services.

BEPCO has the plan to set up Power Plants in the vicinity of the capital city for supplying electricity to the dwellers deprived of proper electricity supply. The company intends to expand its program throughout the country in order to improve the living standard of the common people.
